Client work
Ukuthula Community Development
A plain-spoken website for a new non-profit company in Nkomazi: it says what the organisation is, what it proposes to do, and that it is new.

The need
Give a brand-new non-profit company with no track record a credible website that says plainly what it is and what it aims to do, without claiming projects, partners or results it does not yet have, and gives residents and possible partners a clear way to make contact.
What I made
- Responsive website design and build
- Website visual system drawn from the organisation’s supplied logo
- Content structure for two audiences, five proposed programmes and a three-step way of working
- Contact and partnership routes by phone and message
Design decisions
Design decisions
- 01
I put the honesty on the homepage: a section titled “We are new, and we say so” gives the March 2026 start and the 5 October 2026 incorporation, and says the programmes are proposed.
- 02
I split the first choice between the two people who arrive: a resident who needs information or help, and an organisation that might partner. Each has its own first step, and a Call button stays in the header.
- 03
I took the green and gold from the organisation’s own logo and reused its rising sun as the site’s divider. The census figures are labelled as historical municipal statistics, never as the organisation’s own results.

On a phone
A resident who needs help should not have to search: on a phone the Call button is in the header on the first screen, and the first choice is between asking for help and partnering.
