Imago Dei

My Scripture product: the whole Bible, free, studied with warmth, honesty or rigour.

Live Imago Dei homepage capture dated 11 October 2026: “God created man in his own image” (Genesis 1:27) beside today’s verse framed in a burgundy arch.

The need

Make room for different ways into Scripture — an opening grounded in Genesis 1:27, three reading postures rather than one devotional voice — and give serious readers sources they can check, all free.

What I made

  • Product direction and editorial interface
  • A Bible reader with a verse study panel across three postures
  • Verified source library, search and a personal notebook

Design decisions

Design decisions

  1. 01

I kept the opening on “God created man in his own image” (Genesis 1:27) and set each day’s verse in an arch, in the paper and burgundy of the manuscript identity.

  2. 02

I built the reader around a single verse: choose one and a study panel opens the posture study for that passage, early Christian readings checked against public-domain editions, cross-references and the Greek or Hebrew.

  3. 03

I host the public-domain Bibles myself so the text never depends on an outside service, and I publish every source and licence the product uses.

In detail

In detail

Detail of the live Imago Dei reader: John 1:14 selected, with the study panel open on the New to Faith study’s section on verses 6–18.
One verse, three postures: choose a verse and the study for that passage opens beside it.
Detail of the live Imago Dei reader: John 1:18 with the Greek & Hebrew tab showing the Greek text word by word.
The original words, glossed and parsed, with the manuscripts’ differences shown rather than hidden.

On a phone

Most reading happens on a phone, so the study panel becomes a sheet that opens from the chosen verse and stays out of the way of the passage until it is asked for.
